Jayce

I've personally had struggles with health through out the years. Physical and mental . Since I can remember, I've always had issues with my stomach and digestion. I tried different things to see what exactly was causing the issue, went to doctors, tried changing my diet, tried different medications to see if it would help and nothing seemed to do the trick. After some testing was done, it came back as IBS. I tried some remedies that I was recommended to help deal with this, but again, nothing seemed to help. If anything, a lot of it actually made things more painful.

While trying to manage IBS in my early teens, I began to also develop some other issues.

I started getting extreme pain in my feet and lower legs, and I couldn't seem to ever keep them warm. It eventually got so bad I had days I couldn't get out of bed from lack of strength and pure pain at 16. I went to my doctor and explained the issue, he had me take off my shoes and socks. My feet were blue, and I had no feeling in them. This is when we found out I have Raynaud's disease.

It's really uncommon in people under 30, and wasn't always visible, so people didn't always believe me.

That along with dealing with chronic pain from the Raynaud's left me in a deep depression and in an overwhelming state of anxiety. Not to mention, I have ADHD on top of this. When medical Cannabis became legal in Canada and I was eligible to get a prescription in 2013, I jumped on it.

Through my later teens, in high school I was introduced to this little plant. I heard from friends it was super relaxing, and figured I would give it a go (me trying to be rebellious ). I was astonished. It actually seemed to be relieving some of my pain, and I wasn't so focused in on it either. I found myself enjoying the freedom from not having to feel constant pain, I could actually focus on other things. My brain was quieter and I could focus on my thoughts better.

Of course then, I didn't know all the different things I know now.

One of my favorite things about the decriminalization of Cannabis is that now we can learn more about the practical application of it in different circumstances! We get to learn more of the science behind how the naturally occurring compounds in this stunning plant can effect and benefit us.

My saving grace has honestly been CBD.

Being another component of Cannabis beside THC, CBD is more well known for its relaxing and non-intoxicating effects. When I'm having a day that my legs and feet are cramping badly, I reach for something with CBD in it and it helps with the pain. It's been known to help with inflammation, chronic pain, and to help boost your mood. I've personally felt the benefits Cannabis can offer and I'm super grateful that it seems to help with all my needs as well. Cannabis has also been used to help appetite, nausea, and other issues related to the digestive track.

It's been the only thing to date that I have been able to find that is effectively helping me, along with a little help from pharmaceuticals as well, that has managed to help me with multiple issues I'm having, that doesn't harm me or effect me negatively.

This lead me to want to seek further knowledge, and see if there's a way that I can help others learn more too. My hope is that with use of this wonderful tool, I will be able to. I got all my certification and started budtending, trying to take in as much knowledge as possible. Now I'm continuing my education further, learning more of the history and science behind Cannabis so that I can help others with Canna like it's helped me
